Human Centered Design

The most pressing problems of our time are complicated, interdisciplinary, and ever-shifting. Having a framework for collaborative, creative-problem solving is an absolutely necessary skill for leadership. Human Centered Design provides a uniquely qualified set of mindsets and tools for this kind of creative problem-solving through its interdisciplinary nature, its focus on deep user research and rapid, iterative prototyping.

As part of your Leap Semester experience, you will:

+ Engage in a 2-day design sprint focused on a real-world challenge.

+ Know how to conduct user research to better understand root causes of problems and discover design opportunities.

+ Be able to reframe a problem in terms of user needs.

+ Prototype and test promising solution ideas.

+ Share the story of your product or service with potential users.
